     Captain William Miles Kington was born on 25 April 1876 at Priory Lodge, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Miles Nairne Kington and Sophia Baker.1 He married Edith Mary Agatha Soames, daughter of Frederick William Soames and Julia Mary West, on 11 August 1908 at St. Giles Parish Church, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales.1,2 He died on 21 October 1914 at age 38 at Ypres, Belgium, killed in action.1,2
     Captain William Miles Kington fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1
