     Sir Michael Arnot, 1st Bt. was the son of Walter Arnot and Mary Balfour.1 He married Anne Browne, daughter of Robert Browne and Katharine Douglas, in April 1612.1 He died between 1670 and 1685.1
     Sir Michael Arnot, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Arnot, of Arnot, co. Fife [Nova Scotia] on 27 July 1629.1
