     Sir Thomas Aubrey, 5th Bt. was born after 1707.1 He was the son of Sir John Aubrey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Stealy.1 He married Martha Carter, daughter of Richard Carter and Martha Cornish, on 18 July 1738.1 He died on 4 September 1786.1 He was buried on 13 September 1786 at Llantrithyd, Glamorgan, WalesG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in February 1789.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Aubrey, of Llantrithyd, co. Glamorgan [E., 1660] on 14 October 1767, and 'of Boarstall, co. Bucks.1'

     Martha Carter was born circa 1722.1 She was the daughter of Richard Carter and Martha Cornish.1 She married Sir Thomas Aubrey, 5th Bt., son of Sir John Aubrey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Stealy, on 18 July 1738.1 She died on 5 December 1788 at Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 14 December 1788 at Llantrithyd, Glamorgan, WalesG.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered in February 1789.1
     From 18 July 1738, her married name became Aubrey.1

     Sir John Aubrey, 6th Bt. was born on 4 June 1739.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Aubrey, 5th Bt. and Martha Carter.1 He was baptised on 2 July 1739 at Boarstall, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He married, firstly, Mary Colebrooke, daughter of Sir James Colebrooke, 1st Bt. and Mary Skynner, on 9 March 1771.1 He married, secondly, Martha Catherine Carter, daughter of George Richard Carter and Julia Augusta Spilman, on 26 May 1783.1 He died on 14 March 1826 at age 86 at Dorton House, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG, without legitimate issue.1 He was buried at Boarstall, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in April 1826.1
