Surrey."¹ He gained the rank of Ensign in 1853 in the service of the 69th Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1855 in the service of the Grenadier Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Cornet in 1859 in the service of the Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1859 in the service of the Surrey Rifle Volunteers.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel commander of the Sussex Volunteer Infantry Brigade after 1865.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Horsham between 1880 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Groom in Waiting to HM Queen Victoria between 1885 and 1886.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Lewes between 1885 and 1910.² He was Colonel of the Sussex and Kent Volunteer Infantry Brigade between 1897 and 1904.² He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1900.¹ He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1901.¹ On 1 January 1903 his name was legally changed to Henry Aubrey-Fletcher by Royal License, after inheriting the Aubrey family estates on the death of Charles Aubrey Aubrey.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Buckinghamshire.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Sussex.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.²

     Kathleen Constance Charlotte FitzGerald Murphy married Lt.-Col. Richard Romer Claude Baggallay, son of Claude Baggallay, in 1910.¹
     From 1910, her married name became Baggallay.¹

     Grainne Baggallay was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Richard Romer Claude Baggallay and Kathleen Constance Charlotte FitzGerald Murphy.¹ She died in 2000.¹

     Sir Henry Egerton Aubrey-Fletcher, 8th Bt. was born on 27 November 1945.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir John Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 7th Bt. and Diana Mary Fynvola Egerton.² He married Sara Roberta Buchanan, daughter of Major Robert Gilliam Buchanan, on 14 July 1976.¹
     Sir Henry Egerton Aubrey-Fletcher, 8th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was chairman of Chilton House Nursing Home in 1987.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Fletcher, of Cleahall, co. Cumberland [G.B., 1782] in 1992.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire between 1995 and 1996.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire in 1997.¹

     Sara Roberta Buchanan usually went by her middle name of Roberta.¹ From 14 July 1976, her married name became Aubrey-Fletcher.¹

     Margaret Campbell is the daughter of Sir Dugald Campbell of Auchinbreck, 1st Bt. and Catherine Scrimgeour.¹ She married Sir John Graham of Braco, 2nd Bt..¹
