     Sir Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 6th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Grenadier Guards.¹ He was decorated with the Croix de Guerre.¹ He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in 1919.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1925.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1934.¹ He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Fletcher, of Cleahall, co. Cumberland [G.B., 1782] on 5 January 1937.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.¹ He was invested as a Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.).¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire between 1954 and 1961.¹ He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1957.¹ He wrote the book A History of the Foot Guards.¹

     Sir Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 5th Bt. was born on 13 March 1846.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Fletcher, 3rd Bt. and Emily Maria Browne.¹ He married, firstly, Gertrude Isabella Howell, daughter of John Howell, on 9 October 1875.¹ He married, secondly, Emily Harriet Wade, daughter of Reverend Nugent Wade, on 18 April 1882.¹ He married, thirdly, Aileen Mary Macpherson, daughter of John Macpherson, on 3 June 1913.¹ He died on 5 January 1937 at age 90.¹
     Sir Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 5th Bt. was baptised with the name of Lancelot Fletcher.¹ He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Fletcher, of Cleahall, co. Cumberland [G.B., 1782] on 19 May 1910.¹ On 23 June 1910 his name was legally changed to Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher by Royal Licence.¹

     Mary Penelope Verney-Cave, Baroness Braye was born on 29 September 1941.² She is the daughter of Thomas Adrian Verney-Cave, 7th Lord Braye and Dorothea Donoghue.² She married Lt.-Col. Edward Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, son of Sir Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 6th Bt. and Mary Augusta Chilton, in 1981.¹
     Mary Penelope Verney-Cave, Baroness Braye usually went by her middle name of Penelope.¹ She was educated at Assumption Convent, England.³ She was educated at Warwick University, Warwick, Warwickshire, England.³ From 1981, her married name became Aubrey-Fletcher.¹ She held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1983.³ She succeeded to the title of 8th Baroness Braye [E., 1529] on 19 December 1985, suo jure.² She lived in 2003 at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, England.³
