     S/Ldr. William Shaw Baddeley was born on 15 September 1903.1 He was the son of Sir John William Baddeley, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Mary Ann Shaw.1 He married Mary Joyce Somers Brister, daughter of Sidney Somers Brister, on 26 March 1935.1 He died on 22 April 1971 at age 67, without issue.1
     S/Ldr. William Shaw Baddeley was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1942.1 He lived at The Mill House, Mugswell, Chipstead, Surrey, England.1
