     S/Ldr. William Shaw Baddeley was born on 15 September 1903.1 He was the son of Sir John William Baddeley, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Mary Ann Shaw.1 He married Mary Joyce Somers Brister, daughter of Sidney Somers Brister, on 26 March 1935.1 He died on 22 April 1971 at age 67, without issue.1
     He was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1942.1 He lived at The Mill House, Mugswell, Chipstead, Surrey, EnglandG.1
