     Patrick James Bailey was born on 17 March 1959.1 He is the son of Sir Derrick Thomas Louis Bailey, 3rd Bt. and Katharine Nancy Darling.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Lucy Jane Hamilton-Russell, daughter of Gustavus Michael George Hamilton-Russell, 10th Viscount Boyne and Rosemary Anne Stucley, on 6 August 1983.1 He and Hon. Lucy Jane Hamilton-Russell were divorced in 1986.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Hammond, daughter of Brian J. Hammond, on 17 March 1990.1
     Patrick James Bailey was educated at Bradfield School, England.1 He lived in 2003 at Upton Court, Upton Bishop, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England.1
