     Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 4th Bt. was born on 6 May 1865.1 He was the son of Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Ellen Stuart.1 He married Lilian Gertrude Davidson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Davidson, in 1901.1 He died on 6 January 1941 at age 75.1
     Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 4th Bt. was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Malta in 1890.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Black Watch, Royal Highlanders.1 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1909.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Baird, of Newbyth, co. Haddington [U.K., 1809] on 13 October 1913.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1

Ellen Stuart, in 1901.1 She died on 30 April 1941.1
