     Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 2nd Bt. was born in 1795.1 He was the son of Robert Baird and Hersey Christina Maria Gavin.1,2 He married Lady Anne Kennedy, daughter of Sir Archibald Kennedy, 1st Marquess of Ailsa and Margaret Erskine, on 10 August 1821.1 He died on 8 January 1852.1
     Sir David Baird of Newbyth, 2nd Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the British Army.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Baird, of Newbyth, co. Haddington [U.K., 1809] on 18 August 1829.1
