     Rowland Berkeley was the son of William Berkeley and Elizabeth Burghill.1 He married Catherine Heywood, daughter of Thomas Heywood.1 He died in 1611.1
     He bought the estate of Spetchley, Worcestershire from Philip Seldon.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcester.1
     He also had five younger sons and nine daughters.1
