     Swinburne FitzHardinge Berkeley was born on 20 October 1825.² He was the son of Hon. George Charles Grantley FitzHardinge Berkeley and Caroline Martha Benfield.² He married Eliza Maria Gray, daughter of John Gray, on 4 March 1862.¹ He died on 31 December 1865 at age 40.¹

     George Newton was the son of Samuel Newton and Jane Roger.² He married Charlotte Onslow, daughter of General Denzil Onslow, in 1829.² He died in 1837.²

     He gained the rank of Ensign in 1808 in the service of the 15th Native Infantry.² Between 1812 and 1816 he served in Java and Burma.² He was Deputy Judge Advocate General, Dinapore and Benares between 1825 and 1826.² He was Superintendant of Police between 1830 and 1835 at Calcutta, India.² He gained the rank of Colonel in 1841 in the service of the Indian Army.² He was Crown Superintendant of Cantonment Police, North West Provinces between 1847 and 1857.² He was he visited his brother John where he donated £10 to the bell fund of Cockermouth Church in August 1856 at Derwent Bank, Cumberland, England.² He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).² He was Commander of the 2nd Bengal European Regiment in June 1857 at Ambala, India.² He gained the rank of Colonel on 9 October 1858.²

     William Hobart Houghton Thorne was born in June 1875 at Kensington, London, England.² He is the son of William Besley Thorne and Annette M.² He married Marjorie Barbara James, 0.² He married Doris Jenny Jones, daughter of Henry Arthur Jones, in 1904 in a divorce; marriage, 0.² He and Doris Jenny Jones were divorced in 1923.²
     He held the office of Judge of the Mixed Courts of First Instance, Egypt in 1921.¹ He lived at 19 Kidderpore Avenue, Heath Drive, Hampstead, London, England.²
