Sir George Barnewall, 5th Bt. was the son of Barnaby Barnewall and Jane Geoghegan.1 He died after June 1770, without issue.1
Sir George Barnewall, 5th Bt. succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Barnewall, of Crickstown, co. Meath [I., 1623] on 28 August 1744, after establishing his right to the title at the College of Arms, Dublin.1 He lived at Germany.1

Sir Thomas Barnewall, 6th Bt. succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Barnewall, of Crickstown, co. Meath [I., 1623] between June 1770 and 1790.1 On is death, his baronetcy was considered to be extinct for 30 years. However, it was merely dormant, eventually being claimed by Sir Robert Barnewall, 8th Bt. in 1821.2
