     Hugh Montgomery, 4th Earl of Mount Alexander was the son of Henry Montgomery, 3rd Earl of Mount Alexander and Mary St. Lawrence.2 He married Ellinor Barnewall, daughter of Sir Patrick Barnewall, 3rd Bt. and Frances Butler, in 1703.1 He died on 27 February 1744/45.1
     He gained the title of 4th Earl of Mount Alexander.1
