     Sir James Hamilton of Rosehall, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 24 November 1682.1 He was the son of Sir Archibald Hamilton of Rosehall, 1st Bt. and Anne Murray.1 He married Hon. Frances Stuart, daughter of Alexander Stewart, 4th Lord Blantyre, on 2 March 1707.1 He died on 15 March 1750 at age 67, without issue.1
     Sir James Hamilton of Rosehall, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Hamilton, of Rosehall, co. Lanark [N.S., 1703] in 1709.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lanarkshire between 1710 and 1715.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lanarkshire between 1735 and 1750.1

     Hon. Frances Stuart is the daughter of Alexander Stewart, 4th Lord Blantyre.1 She married Sir James Hamilton of Rosehall, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Archibald Hamilton of Rosehall, 1st Bt. and Anne Murray, on 2 March 1707.1
     From 2 March 1707, her married name became Hamilton.1

     Sir Hugh Hamilton of Rosehall, 3rd Bt. was born after 1682. He was the son of Sir Archibald Hamilton of Rosehall, 1st Bt. and Anne Murray.1 He married Margaret Stirling, daughter of James Stirling of Keir, on 23 June 1750.1 He died on 29 August 1755 at Rosehall, Lanarkshire, Scotland, without male issue.1
     Sir Hugh Hamilton of Rosehall, 3rd Bt. succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Hamilton, of Rosehall, co. Lanark [N.S., 1703] on 15 March 1750.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became dormant.1
