     Theophila Palmer was born on 15 May 1757.1 She was the daughter of Reverend John Palmer and Mary Reynolds.1 She married Robert Lovell Gwatkin on 18 June 1780 at Great Torrington, Devon, England.1 She died on 4 July 1848 at age 91 at Ideford, Devon, England.1
     Theophila Palmer also went by the nick-name of Offy.1 From 18 June 1780, her married name became Gwatkin.1
