     John Laurence Bell was born in 1919.1 He was the son of Alexander Bell of Blackethouse and Nora Sutherland.1 He died on 19 June 1944, killed in action, without issue.1
     John Laurence Bell fought in the Second World War. He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Somerset Light Infantry.1
