     Captain Oliver Ancketill was born on 12 November 1609 at Shaftesbury, Dorset, England.1 He is the son of William Ancketill.1 He married Rebecca (?).1 He died on 8 June 1666 at age 56.1
     Captain Oliver Ancketill was also known as Oliver Anketell.2 He was a Royalist.1 He settled in Ireland in 1636.1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1662.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Anketell Grove, County Monaghan, Ireland.1
