     Colonel James Corry was born circa 1634.1 He was the son of John Corry and Blanch Johnston.1 He married, secondly, Lucy Mervyn, daughter of Henry Mervyn, in 1683.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Harryman in 1692.1 He married, firstly, Sarah Anketell, daughter of Captain Oliver Ancketill and Rebecca (?), in February 1663.1,2 He died on 1 May 1718.1
     Colonel James Corry lived at Castlecoole, County Fermanagh, Ireland.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Fermanagh in 1671.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Monaghan in 1677.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Fermanagh between 1692 and 1718.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) of Ireland for Castlecoole.3 He lived at Castle Coole, County Fermanagh, Ireland.1
