     Captain Francis Colebrooke Beresford-Drummond was the son of Sir Edmund Drummond and Julia Mary Sutherland.2 He married Marcia Mary Ann Harriet Wilhelmina de la Poer Beresford, daughter of Major Sir George de la Poer Beresford, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Lucas, on 23 June 1875.1 He died on 9 April 1926.1
     Captain Francis Colebrooke Beresford-Drummond gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 7th Dragoon Guards.1 He was baptised with the name of Francis Colebrooke Drummond.2

     Harriet Elizabeth Peirse was the daughter of Henry Peirse.1 She married Admiral Sir John de la Poer Beresford, 1st Bt., son of George de la Poer Beresford, 1st Marquess of Waterford, on 17 August 1815.1 She died on 28 February 1825.1
     From 17 August 1815, her married name became Beresford.1

     Henrietta Anne Theodosia Monson was born before 1833. She was the daughter of Rev. Hon. Thomas Monson.1 She married Henry William de la Poer Beresford-Peirse, son of Admiral Sir John de la Poer Beresford, 1st Bt. and Harriet Elizabeth Peirse, on 2 March 1848. She died on 28 October 1921.1
     From 2 March 1848, her married name became Beresford-Peirse.1

     Lt.-Col. William John de la Poer Beresford-Peirse was born on 8 November 1852.1 He was the son of Henry William de la Poer Beresford-Peirse and Henrietta Anne Theodosia Monson.1 He married Mary Chambers, daughter of Thomas Chambers, on 22 February 1887.1 He died on 1 September 1917 at age 64.1
     Lt.-Col. William John de la Poer Beresford-Peirse gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Berkshire Regiment.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Noel Monson de la Poer Beresford-Peirse was born on 22 December 1887.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William John de la Poer Beresford-Peirse and Mary Chambers.1 He married, firstly, Hazel Marjorie Cochrane, daughter of J. A. Cochrane, in 1912.1 He and Hazel Marjorie Cochrane were divorced in 1925.1 He married, secondly, Jean Jameson, daughter of Surg.-Capt. Robert Dundonald Jameson, on 22 December 1925.1 He married, thirdly, Katherine Camilla Colvin, daughter of Colonel James Morris Colquhoun Colvin, V.C., on 27 July 1929.1 He died on 14 January 1953 at age 65, without issue.1
     Lt.-Gen. Sir Noel Monson de la Poer Beresford-Peirse was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches, and served in Mesopotamia, France and Belgium.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He was Instructor between 1937 and 1938 at Senior Officer's School, Belgium.1 He was Brigadier of the Royal Artillery, Southern India Command between 1938 and 1939.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George VI between 1939 and 1940.1 He was Brigadier of the Royal Artillery General Headquarters, Middle East in 1940.1 He was Major-General of the 4th Indian Division between 1940 and 1941.1 He was General Officer Commanding of the Sudan in 1941.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1941.1 He was Commander of the Western Desert Force in 1941.1 He was Lieutenant-General of the 15th Indian Corps in 1942.1 He was General Officer Commanding-in-Charge of the Southern Army India between 1942 and 1945.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1943.1 He was Welfare-General of the India Command between 1945 and 1946.1
