     Leslie Ruthven Pym was born on 24 May 1884.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Walter Ruthven Pym and Lucy Anne Threlfall.1 He married Iris Rosalind Orde, daughter of Charles Somerville Orde, on 1 January 1914.1 He died in 1945.2
     Leslie Ruthven Pym was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.1 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Monmouthshire.1 He was president of the Land Agents' Society in 1936.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouthshire between 1939 and 1945.1 He held the office of Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in 1942.1 He held the office of a Senior Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in 1945.1
