Alexander Pym was born on 8 January 1820 at Kneesworth House, Royston, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was the son of Francis Pym and Lady Jane Elizabeth Leslie-Melville.1 He married Eliza Elizabeth Pell, daughter of Sir Arthur Pell, on 21 December 1847 at Wilburton, England.1 He died on 13 August 1889 at age 69.1
