William Henry Beveridge, 1st and last Baron Beveridge was born on 5 March 1879.1 He was the son of Henry Beveridge and Annette Akroyd.1,2 He married Jessy Janet Philip, daughter of William Philip, on 15 December 1942.1 He died on 16 March 1963 at age 84.1

(Liberal) for Berwick-upon-Tweed between 1944 and 1945.2 He was created 1st Baron Beveridge, of Tuggal, co. Northumberland [U.K.] on 25 June 1946.1
