     Elizabeth Vere Drummond Ogilvie was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir George Drummond Ogilvie and Lorna Rome.1 She married Lt.-Col. Sir Christopher Bromhead Birdwood, 2nd Baron Birdwood, son of Field Marshal Sir William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead, on 7 March 1931 at Delhi, India.1 She and Lt.-Col. Sir Christopher Bromhead Birdwood, 2nd Baron Birdwood were divorced in 1953.2 She died on 1 May 1997.3
     From 7 March 1931, her married name became Birdwood.1 As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Vere Drummond Ogilvie was styled as Baroness Birdwood on 17 May 1951. She was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1958.3 She was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1972.3
