     Joan Pollack Graham was born on 18 May 1913 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.3 She was the daughter of Christopher Norman Graham.2 She married Lt.-Col. Sir Christopher Bromhead Birdwood, 2nd Baron Birdwood, son of Field Marshal Sir William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead, on 22 February 1954.1 She died circa June 2000.3
     As a result of her marriage, Joan Pollack Graham was styled as Baroness Birdwood on 22 February 1954. From 22 February 1954, her married name became Birdwood.1

     General Christopher Birdwood was born on 12 March 1807.1 He was the son of Peter Birdwood and Mary Brodrick.1 He married Lydia Juliana Taylor, daughter of Reverend Joseph Taylor, on 12 January 1832. He died in 1882.1
