     Harold Blackett was born on 27 January 1854.¹ He was the son of John Charles Blackett and Emily Jane Cockcraft.¹ He married Marion Gosling, daughter of Richard Gosling, on 15 September 1881.¹ He died on 28 May 1923 at age 69.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Prince of Wales' Own (West Yorkshire) Regiment.¹

     Marion Gosling was the daughter of Richard Gosling.¹ She married Harold Blackett, son of John Charles Blackett and Emily Jane Cockcraft, on 15 September 1881.¹ She died on 24 December 1937.¹
     From 15 September 1881, her married name became Blackett.¹

     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Alexandra Princess of Wales' Own Yorkshire Regiment.¹

     Evelyn Nora Mary Lazenby was the daughter of John Booth Lazenby.¹ She married Henry Beaumont Blackett, son of Harold Blackett and Marion Gosling, on 3 August 1916.¹ She died on 22 May 1966.¹
     From 3 August 1916, her married name became Blackett.¹
