     Valentine John Bruce Blake was born on 25 November 1914.1 He was the son of Major Cecil Bruce Blake and Effie Howell.1 He married Carla Maria Aida Wrinch-Schulz, daughter of Dr. Helmut Schulz and Muriel Wrinch, on 2 December 1950.1 He died on 10 August 1993 at age 78.1
     Valentine John Bruce Blake fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Indian Army.1
