Lt.-Gen. Reginald Edward Knatchbull was born on 11 May 1812.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Knatchbull, 8th Bt. and Mary Hawkins.1 He married, firstly, Lucy Eleanor Bowen, daughter of Captain William Bowen, on 11 July 1845.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Emma Lomer, daughter of Captain Owen Lomer, on 21 October 1852.1 He died on 15 April 1885 at age 72.1

Lt.-Col. George Wyndham Chichester Knatchbull was born on 3 March 1862.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Reginald Edward Knatchbull and Sarah Emma Lomer.1 He married Constance Marsden, daughter of Alexander Marsden, on 21 April 1900.1 He died on 2 June 1943 at age 81.1
Lt.-Col. George Wyndham Chichester Knatchbull fought in the Third Burma War between 1885 and 1887, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1 He fought in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.1 He fought in the First World War in 1914, where he was again mentioned in despatches.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1916.1
