     Archibald Campbell of Succoth was born circa 1703.¹ He was the son of William Campbell of Succoth and Margaret Walkinshaw.² He married Helen Wallace, daughter of John Wallace of Elderslie, in 1731.¹ He died in 1790.¹
     He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.) in 1728.¹ In 1769 he sold the Elderslie estate to Alexander Speirs.¹ He was Principal Clerk of Session in 1770.¹ He was Deputy Keeper of the Great Seal.¹ He was Commissary Principal of Glasgow.¹

     Helen Wallace was the daughter of John Wallace of Elderslie.¹ She married Archibald Campbell of Succoth, son of William Campbell of Succoth and Margaret Walkinshaw, in 1731.¹ She died in 1767.¹

     Charles Martineau lived at London, England.¹

     Archibald Murray of Murrayfield married Jane Hay, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Lord William Hay and Margaret Hay.²

     Susan Mary Murray was the daughter of Archibald Murray of Murrayfield.² She married Sir Illay Campbell of Succoth, 1st Bt., son of Archibald Campbell of Succoth and Helen Wallace, on 13 November 1765.¹
      From 13 November 1765, her married name became Campbell.¹

     Harriet Martineau was born on 12 June 1802 at Norwich, Norfolk, England.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Martineau and Elizabeth Rankin.¹ She died on 27 June 1876 at age 74 at Ambleside, Westmorland, England, from bronchitis.¹
     She was a writer and journalist.¹

     Alexander Campbell was born in September 1771.¹ He was the son of Sir Illay Campbell of Succoth, 1st Bt. and Susan Mary Murray.² He died in 1799, unmarried.¹

     Jean Campbell was born in 1767.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Illay Campbell of Succoth, 1st Bt. and Susan Mary Murray.² She married John MacNeil of Gigha in 1797.¹ She died, without issue.¹
      From 1797, her married name became MacNeil.¹

     John MacNeil of Gigha married Jean Campbell, daughter of Sir Illay Campbell of Succoth, 1st Bt. and Susan Mary Murray, in 1797.¹
      At Gigha, Argyllshire, Scotland, (an unknown value).¹

     Margaret Campbell was the daughter of Sir Illay Campbell of Succoth, 1st Bt. and Susan Mary Murray.² She married Sir John Connell.¹ She died, leaving issue.¹
      Her married name became Connell.
