     Sir Gerald Charles Arcedeckne Vanneck, 6th Baron Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall was born on 29 May 1915.2 He was the son of Sir William Charles Arcedeckne Vanneck, 5th Baron Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall and Margaret Eleanor Crosby.2 He married Janetta Lois Errington, daughter of Captain Reginald Hugh Errington, on 27 October 1941.1 He died on 1 May 1994 at age 78.1
     Sir Gerald Charles Arcedeckne Vanneck, 6th Baron Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).3 He fought in the Second World War, in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.3 He was in the U.N. Secretariat in 1946.3 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall [I., 1796] on 20 November 1969.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Vanneck, of Putney, co. Surrey [G.B., 1751] on 20 November 1969.1

     Janetta Lois Errington is the daughter of Captain Reginald Hugh Errington.1 She married Sir Gerald Charles Arcedeckne Vanneck, 6th Baron Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall, son of Sir William Charles Arcedeckne Vanneck, 5th Baron Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall and Margaret Eleanor Crosby, on 27 October 1941.1
     From 27 October 1941, her married name became Vanneck.1 As a result of her marriage, Janetta Lois Errington was styled as Baroness Huntingfield of Heveningham Hall on 20 November 1969. She lived in 2003 at 53 Barron's Way, Comberton, Cambridgeshire, England.2
