Victoria Sackville-West was born illegitimately in 1862 at Paris, France.1 She was born on 23 September 1862.2 She was the daughter of Lionel Sackville-West, 2nd Baron Sackville and Josefa Durán.1 She married Lionel Edward Sackville-West, 3rd Baron Sackville, son of Hon. William Edward Sackville-West and Georgina Dodwell, on 17 June 1890.2 She died on 30 January 1936.2
She was also known as Victoria Josefa Sackville-West.2 In 1994 acted as her f's hostess in Washington (see section ARTHUR, CHESTER A., p. 506, also p. 525, AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL FAMILIES).2

Lionel Sackville-West, 2nd Baron Sackville was born on 19 July 1827.2 He was the son of George John Sackville-West, 5th Earl De La Warr and Lady Elizabeth Sackville, Baroness Buckhurst of Buckhurst.3 He died on 3 September 1908 at age 81, without legitimate issue unm by his mistress the Spanish dancer ‘Pepita' (in reality Josefa, dau of Pedro Duran, a barber of Malaga, by Catalina Ortega, of gypsy extraction):.2
He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).2 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) Kent.2 He was Dip Serv: joined , Sec Legation Turin 1858–64 and Madrid 1864–67, Sec Embassy Berlin 1867 and Paris 1868–72, Envoy Extrdy and Minister Plen Argentina 1872–78, Spain 1878–81 and USA 1881–88 in 1847.2 He was Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) ) in 1885.2 He was Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) ( in 1888.2

Josefa Durán was born in 1830.1 She was the daughter of Pedro Durán and Catalina Ortega.1 She married Juan Antonio de Oliva.1 She died in 1871.1

Maximilian Sackville-West was born illegitimately in 1858.1 He was the son of Lionel Sackville-West, 2nd Baron Sackville and Josefa Durán.1 He married Mary Ann Ellen Norton, daughter of Philip Norton and Elsjie Elizabeth Otto.2 He died in 1936 at South Africa.2
Documentation was drawn up stating him to be s of ‘Pepita' by Juan Antonio de la Oliva, her official husband.3 He was also known as Maximiliano De La OLIVA Sackville-West.3 Hence he was prevented from claiming the Barony of Sackville of Knole on his biological f's death.3 He lived at Natal, South Africa.2
