William Edward Sackville-West was born on 27 October 1830.1 He was the son of George John Sackville-West, 5th Earl De La Warr and Lady Elizabeth Sackville, Baroness Buckhurst of Buckhurst.1 He married Georgina Dodwell, daughter of George Dodwell, on 7 August 1860.1 He died on 30 September 1905 at age 74.1
     Hon. William Edward Sackville-West graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.1

     Dorothy Heseltine was the daughter of John Postle Heseltine.1 She married, firstly, Lionel Charles Cranfield Sackville, Viscount Cantelupe, son of Reginald Windsor Sackville, 7th Earl De La Warr and Constance Mary Elizabeth Cochrane-Wishart-Baillie, on 24 June 1890.1 She married, secondly, George Darell Jeffreys, 1st Baron Jeffreys on 28 February 1905.1 She died on 21 May 1953.1
     From 24 June 1890, her married name became Sackville.1 From 28 February 1905, her married name became Jeffreys.1 She was Chief Commandant in the Auxiliary Territorial Service between 1938 and 1941.1
