     Brigadier Alfred Geoffrey Neville was born on 27 January 1891.1 He was the son of Sir George Neville and Fairlie Florence Lloyd-Jones.1 He married Philippa Hope, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir George Webley Hope and Arabella Phillippa Sams, on 1 May 1922.1 He died on 3 March 1955 at age 64.1
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Artillery.1 He was Assistant Military Attaché to Paris.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1944.1
