     Dirk II Graaf in Hollant en West Friesland was born in 930.2 He was the son of Dirk I Graaf in Hollant en West Friesland.1 He married Hildegarde Vlaanderen, daughter of Arnulfus 'de Grote' Graaf van Vlaanderen Comte d'Artois Boulogne Ternois et Saint-Pol and Adèle de Vermandois, in 950.2 He died on 6 May 988 at Castle Slot op den Hoef, Egmond aan den Hoef, The Netherlands.1,2
     He succeeded to the title of Graaf in Hollant en West Friesland in 939.1
