     Lt.-Col. William Meade was born circa 1612.2 He was the son of Sir John Meade and Catherine Sarsfield.2 He married Elizabeth Travers, daughter of Sir Robert Travers.2
     Lt.-Col. William Meade lived at Ballintubber, County Cork, Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.2 In 1666 he raised a troop of horse for King Charles II.2
