     Susanna Grainger was the daughter of John Meares Grainger.1 She married, firstly, Pierce Arthur before 1818.1 A settlement for the marriage between her and John Galwey was made on 12 June 1818.1 She died in 1836.1
     From before 1818, her married name became Arthur.1 From 12 June 1818, her married name became Galwey.1

     Rear-Admiral Edward Galwey was the son of Edward Galwey and Jane Westropp.1 He died on 9 August 1844, unmarried.1
     Rear-Admiral Edward Galwey was of the Royal Navy in 1786.1 He gained the rank of First Lieutenant, on H.M.S. Vanguard, serving under Nelson.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1798.1 He fought in the Battle of the Nile on 7 August 1798.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral of the White in 1837.1 He lived at Lota, County Cork, Ireland.1

     Edward Galwey was born on 25 February 1804.1 He was the son of William Galwey and Ann Norcott.1 He married, secondly, Sophia Stewart, daughter of Reverend Hugh Stewart.1 He married, firstly, Cornelia Matilda St. Leger, daughter of Heyward St. Leger and Matilda Rogers, on 27 November 1833.1 He died on 12 November 1873 at age 69.1
     Edward Galwey graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1825 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was admitted to King's Inn, Dublin in 1827 entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He lived at Lota, County Cork, Ireland.1
