     William Galwey was born circa 1822. He was the son of Venerable Charles Galwey and Honoria Tomkins Knox.1 He died in 1823, as an infant.1

     William Galwey was born on 12 July 1828.1 He was the son of Venerable Charles Galwey and Honoria Tomkins Knox.1 He married Eleanor Minnitt, daughter of Joshua Minnitt, on 30 October 1855.1 He died on 16 September 1876 at age 48.1
     William Galwey was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was registered as a Civil Engineer (C.E.).1 He was an engineer with the Bombay and Baroda Railway.1
     He also had four daughters, all of whom married in New Zealand.1

     From 30 October 1855, her married name became Galwey.1

     Charlotte Hillier Rickards was the daughter of Robert Rickards and Caroline Knox.1 She married Andrew Knox Galwey, son of Venerable Charles Galwey and Honoria Tomkins Knox, on 4 September 1866.1 She died in 1916.1
     From 4 September 1866, her married name became Galwey.1
