     Sigismund Herzog von Oberbayern-München was born in 1439 at Straubing, Germany.2 He was the son of Albrecht III Herzog von Oberbayern-München and Anne von Braunschweig-Grubenhagen.1,2 He died on 1 February 1501 at Blutenburg Castle.1,2
     He was a member of the House of Wittelsbach.1 He succeeded as the Herzog von Oberbayern-München in 1460.1 He abdicated as Duke of Upper Bavaria-Munich in 1467.1

     William de Ros, 1st Lord de Ros of Helmsley was born circa 1255.1 He was the son of Sir Robert de Ros and Isabel d'Aubigny.2,3 He married Maud de Vaux, daughter of John de Vaux and Sibilla (?).4 He died from 12 May 1316 to 16 August 1316.1
     He lived at Hamlake, England.5 In 1291 he was a candidate for the crown of Scotland.4 He was created 1st Lord de Ros of Helmsley [England by writ] on 6 February 1298/99.4 In 1301 he was granted Wark Castle.4 He held the office of Joint Warden of Northumberland in 1307.4 He held the office of Joint Lord and Warden in Scotland in 1308.4

Sir Robert de Ros1

     Sir Robert de Ros was the son of Sir William de Ros and Lucy FitzPiers.2 He married Isabel d'Aubigny, daughter of William IV d'Aubigny, from 5 June 1243 to 17 May 1244. He died on 17 March 1285.1
     On 24 December 1264 he was summoned to a Parliament convened by Simon de Montfort. In 1616 the 1264 Parliament was held to give a precedence of 1264 to the Lordship de Ros of Helmsley.2 He sided with Simon de Montfort in the Barons' War.2 On 14 August 1265 he was pardoned for his opposition to King Henry III.2 He was Commissioner in the North of England to ensure Aid was yielded to the King in 1268.2
