     William Hudson Heaven was born in 1799.1 He was the son of Thomas Heaven and Maria Halliday.1 He married Cecilia Jane Grosett in 1825.1 He died in 1883.1
     In 1836 he purchased Lundy Island, in the Bristol Channel. It stayed in the family until 1917.1
