     Lt.-Col. John Talbot was born on 17 August 1925.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Sir Cecil Ponsonby Talbot and Bridget Bradshaw.1 He married Janet Wyndham Green, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Wyndham Green and Primrose Cobbold, on 29 July 1954.2 He died on 4 August 2011 at age 85.3
     He was educated at Radley College, Radley, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was MA to CINCENT in 1966.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He was Defence Attache to Sofia in 1969.2 He was Defence Attache to Vienna in 1972.2 He lived in 2003 at Lodge House, Smeeth, Kent, England.1
