     William Harold Edwards was born on 7 September 1904 at Norfolk Island.1 He was the son of Ezra William Edwards and Ann Adams.1 He married Mary Norah Christian, daughter of Charles Allen Christian and Norah Leonora Nobbs, on 23 May 1923 at Norfolk Island.1 He died in 1950.1
     William Harold Edwards fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Private in the service of the 2/2 Infantry Battalion.1
