     Sir John George Blaker, 1st Bt. was born on 15 October 1854.1 He was the son of John George Blaker and Margaret Cocks.1 He married Eliza Cowell, daughter of Samuel Cowell, on 16 September 1890.1 He died on 11 June 1926 at age 71.1
     Sir John George Blaker, 1st Bt. held the office of Mayor of Brighton between 1895 and 1898.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1897.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Blaker, of Brighton, co. Sussex [U.K.] on 5 September 1919.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.1
