     Louisa Quintal was born on 7 March 1829 at Pitcairn Island.1 She was the daughter of Edward Quintal and Dinah Adams.1 She married Thomas Buffett, son of John Buffett and Dorothy Young, on 20 June 1853 at Pitcairn Island.1 She died on 5 February 1873 at age 43 at Norfolk Island.1
     In 1851 she was one of the 14 women who invited Admiral Moresby to visit Pitcairn.1 From 20 June 1853, her married name became Buffett.1

     Thomas Buffett was born on 3 January 1825 at Pitcairn Island.1 He was the son of John Buffett and Dorothy Young.1 He married Louisa Quintal, daughter of Edward Quintal and Dinah Adams, on 20 June 1853 at Pitcairn Island.1 He married Dorcas Young, daughter of William Young and Elizabeth Mills, on 25 May 1875 at Norfolk Island.1 He died on 18 October 1900 at age 75 at Norfolk Island.1
     Thomas Buffett held the office of Chief Magistrate of Norfolk Island between 1860 and 1861.2
