     George Young was born circa 1797 at Pitcairn Island.¹ He was the son of Edward Young and Toofaiti (?).¹ He married Hannah Adams, daughter of John Adams and Vahineatua (?), in 1821 at Pitcairn Island.² He died on 4 May 1831 at Tahiti.²

     Major Alfred Davis Welch was the son of Colonel William Davis Welch.¹ He married Marjory Francis Blake, daughter of Sir Francis Douglas Blake, 1st Bt. and Selina Colquhoun Burns, on 24 December 1921.¹ He died on 21 May 1960.¹
     Major Alfred Davis Welch gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Marine Light Infantry.¹

     Frederick Lorenzo Fisher Young was born on 27 January 1846 at Pitcairn Island.¹ He was the son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.¹ He died on 24 August 1864 at age 18 at Santa Cruz Island, Solomon Islands, wounded by arrows in an uprising and died of lockjaw.¹ He was buried at Port Petterson, Solomon Islands.
     Frederick Lorenzo Fisher Young was a mission worker.¹ He was serving with George Nobbs and Bishop Patteson at the Melanesian Mission in 1864 at Santa Cruz Island, Solomon Islands.¹

     Eliza Coffin Palmer Young was born on 2 November 1847 at Pitcairn Island.¹ She was the daughter of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.¹ She married James Russell McCoy, son of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 25 December 1864 at Pitcairn Island.¹ She died on 26 August 1893 at age 45 at Pitcairn Island, in the typhus epidemic.¹
     In 1864 she was among the second wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn.¹ From 25 December 1864, her married name became McCoy.¹

     James Russell McCoy was born on 4 September 1845 at Pitcairn Island.¹ He was the son of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ He married Eliza Coffin Palmer Young, daughter of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 25 December 1864 at Pitcairn Island.¹ He died on 14 February 1924 at age 78, from influenza.² He was buried on 14 February 1924 at Pitcairn Island.¹
     James Russell McCoy also went by the nick-name of 'Big Hunty'. In 1859 he was among the first wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn.¹ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1870 and 1872.³ In 1878 he started a store on Pitcairn with goods left by Captain Scott of the vessel, Venus.¹ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1878 and 1879.³ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1883.³ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1886 and 1889.³ He held the office of President of the Council of Pitcairn Island between 1893 and 1896.³ He held the office of President of the Council of Pitcairn Island between 1898 and 1904.³ He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1905 and 1906.³

     Died in childbirth.¹ Reference: 'EMILY.¹' Her married name became Young.¹

     William Henry Childers Young was born on 17 April 1864 at Pitcairn Island.¹ He was the son of Moses Young and Albina McCoy.¹ He married Amelia Ann McCoy, daughter of James Russell McCoy and Eliza Coffin Palmer Young, at Pitcairn Island.¹ He died on 30 September 1893 at age 29 at Pitcairn Island.¹
     Died in the typhus epidemic.¹

     Nesta Amelia J. Young was born on 15 November 1885 at Pitcairn Island.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Childers Young and Amelia Ann McCoy.¹ She married Ernest Merrick at Nelson, New Zealand.¹ She died at Nelson, New Zealand.¹
     Her married name became Merrick.¹
