William Alfred Young was born on 4 April 1863 at Norfolk Island.1 He was the son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.1 He married Mercy Amelia Lawrence Young, daughter of Moses Young and Albina McCoy, on 23 February 1882 at Pitcairn Island.1 He died on 1 July 1911 at age 48.1

Mercy Amelia Lawrence Young was born on 7 February 1858 at Norfolk Island.1 She was the daughter of Moses Young and Albina McCoy.1 She married William Alfred Young, son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 23 February 1882 at Pitcairn Island.1 She died on 30 November 1934 at age 76 at Pitcairn Island.1
