     Phoebe Cleaveline Adams was born on 25 January 1856 at Pitcairn Island.1 She was the daughter of Jonathan Adams and Phoebe Quintal.1 She died on 15 June 1856 at Norfolk Island.1
     
     She was born only 6 months before the trip to Norfolk. At the time they were preparing to move, she was dangerously ill and having convulsions. Nobbs did not believe she'd survive the trip. Her grandfather, George Adams, demanded that she not be taken, and that he would stay with her, but it wasn't allowed. George took a small coffin he had made, but the sailors threw it overboard as
it was against longstanding tradition. She survived the trip, but died a few days after landing on Norfolk.1
