     Colonel Arthur Blunt was born on 1 January 1829.1 He was the son of Edward Walter Blunt and Janet Shirley Allan.1 He married Frances Jemima Roper, daughter of R. S. Roper, on 3 September 1861.1 He died on 25 December 1904 at age 75.1
     Colonel Arthur Blunt gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Bengal Artillery.1
