     Maj.-Gen. Charles Harris Blunt was born on 7 September 1825.1 He was the son of Edward Walter Blunt and Janet Shirley Allan.1 He married Mary Augusta Tod, daughter of Colonel James Tod, in 1856.2 He died on 15 August 1900 at age 74.1
     Maj.-Gen. Charles Harris Blunt gained the rank of Major-Gneeral in the service of the Royal Bengal Artillery.2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).2 He lived at Adderbury Manor, Oxfordshire, England.2
