Sussex [U.K., 1919] on 11 June 1926.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Spelthorpe between 1931 and 1945.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army).¹ He was decorated with the award of Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1942.¹
