     Sir James Bond, 1st Bt. was born on 11 June 1744 at Newtown, County Longford, Ireland.1 He was the son of Reverend James Bond and Catherine Wensley.1 He married Anne Hornby, daughter of William Hornby, on 27 July 1770.1 He died on 2 June 1820 at age 75.1 His will (dated 26 July 1813) was probated on 10 May 1822.2
     Sir James Bond, 1st Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Naas [Ireland] between 1790 and 1797.1 He was created 1st Baronet Bond, of Coolamber, co. Longford [Ireland] on 21 January 1794.1

     Anne Hornby was the daughter of William Hornby.2 She married, firstly, Richard Eyre before 1770.1 She married, secondly, Sir James Bond, 1st Bt., son of Reverend James Bond and Catherine Wensley, on 27 July 1770.1 She died on 3 July 1809.2
     From before 1770, her married name became Eyre.1 From 27 July 1770, her married name became Bond.1

     Her married name became Miller.1 Her married name became Walshe.1
     She had two daughters by her first husband, and three daughters by her second husband.1
