(Conservative) for Upminster between 1983 and 1997.¹ He was member of the Council of Lloyd's between 1987 and 1992.¹ He became a Freeman of the City of London in 1988.¹ He was chairman of the House of Commons Select Committee for Defence between 1992 and 1995.¹ He held the office of Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office between 1995 and 1997.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in 2000 in the service of the 60 Signals Squadron.¹ He lived in 2003 at Liscombe Park House, Soulbury, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England.¹

     Sir Henry Cosmo Orme Bonsor, 1st Bt. was born on 2 September 1848.¹ He was the son of Joseph Bonsor and Eliza Denne Orme.¹ He married, firstly, Emily Gertrude Fellowes, daughter of James Fellowes and Gertrude Charlotte Micklethwaite, on 18 April 1872. He married, secondly, Mabel Grace Brand, daughter of James Brand, on 3 March 1886.² He died on 4 December 1929 at age 81.¹

     Arthur Wills Percy Wellington Blundell Trumbull Sandys Hill, 7th Marquess of Downshire was born on 7 April 1894.¹ He was the son of Arthur Wills John Wellington Trumbull Hill, 6th Marquess of Downshire and Katherine Mary Hare.¹ He married Noreen Barraclough, daughter of William Barraclough, on 23 July 1953.¹ He died on 28 March 1989 at age 94.¹

     From 4 September 1969, her married name became Bonsor.¹
